I had a terrible dining experience at I Love Dough in Bree Street on Friday, August 16. It was truly disappointing from start to finish. Despite making a reservation, they had no record of it when we arrived. The staff was dismissive when we showed proof of our calls, simply responding with a disinterested "oh." We were initially seated at a cramped table with six people, and then two ladies were moved from their seats to accommodate us - extremely rude. We then had to endure uncomfortable and broken couches before finally relocating to a more comfortable table when it became available. To add to the discomfort, one of the waiters, Sothile, made us feel unwelcome by giving us judgmental looks and raising her eyebrows. The issues continued with our order. We all chose slushies, and despite paying the same price, one person received a smaller cup. Then, when I tried to modify my pizza order due to a bacon allergy, Sothile flatly refused, citing it was against their policy. Yet, another waiter later confirmed that the change could be made, which made Sothile's refusal even more frustrating. The quality of the food was another major letdown. Our order was incorrect, and one of my friends had to wait until we had finished eating to receive her pizza. Throughout our visit, Sothile scrutinised us, which only added to our terrible experience. Overall, I Love Dough was a huge disappointment. The service was poor, the food was okay, and the restaurant was not clean. I had high hopes for this place, but it was my worst dining experience EVER! I would not recommend it to anyone. Please do yourselves a favour and not waste your money visiting this place.
