“While we’re keeping the exact location of Gigi Restaurant in Johannesburg under wraps for a bit longer, we’ll soon be revealing it on our social media platforms,” says Moses. “Stay tuned for the exciting announcement!”
While the anticipation mounts, Moses shares with Eat Out that the menu is designed to be simple and uncomplicated. “From signature South African ingredients to globally inspired twists, our menu aims to intrigue palates with unexpected pairings and delightful surprises. Further to this, surprise collaborations are definitely going to keep Gigi on everyone’s lips.”
The name Gigi holds special significance for Moses, as he says it represents an elegant and affectionate nod to the culinary and cultural diversity of global flavours.
Award-winning designer Giorgio Tatsakis has been involved in expertly curating an environment that seamlessly blends the exotic allure of Moroccan travertine tiles with the opulence of imported French upholstery. The result is an inviting space where sophistication meets comfort, embodying a harmonious fusion of raw and luxury elements.
Gigi Restaurant is set to open in summer of 2023 and will operate every day for both lunch and dinner, from 12pm until late.
