Food

The Bramon experience is that which encompasses everything one has come to love about Al Fresco dining. Set in the open air of the vineyards, the long tables and benches encourage sharing and feasting amongst friends and family.

Bramon restaurant is now under the new ownership of Italian siblings Renata and Claudio Gaggio, one can see a distinctive and prominent Italian flair running through out the menu.

True to authentic Italian food, the dishes are made from scratch where possible, made fresh and kept simple, using fewer ingredients and allowing them to really shine through and taste as close to their natural state as possible.

Try the fresh pastas and Italian style dishes such as ‘Spinach and ricotta ravioli with sage butter and Parmesan’ or the ‘Gnocchi with tomato and basil sauce’ which are all best eaten hot on arrival as any good Italian restaurant will encourage you to do. The old favourites of the tapas style menu are also still on offer with the likes of a selection of breads, dips and charcuterie for the die hard Bramon fans who have been visiting through the years.

Drinks

A trip here would not be complete without a chilled bottle of the farms easy drinking Bramon MCC, perfect for sipping slowly over the duration of your sun soaked lunch.

As the restaurant is set in the heart of the Bramon wine farm, tables are nestled in the peaceful vineyard! The idea is to enjoy and celebrate the wine farms own homegrown and produced wines and especially their MCC.

The Bramon MCC Blanc de Blanc is recommended and easily enjoyed on hot summer days in the holiday town of Plettenberg Bay, there is also a choice of bubbles based cocktails like Aperol Spritz paired with the farms MCC.

Service

The Bramon team is wonderfully charming and extremely welcoming. Consisting mostly of mostly locals from the tightly knit community nearby, they are really lovely and eager to please to provide the best possible experience to their customers.

Ambience

The Bramon experience is that which encompasses everything we have come to love about Al Fresco dining, the decor and design of the restaurant is laid back and simple but still considered and very adequate!

One visits Bramon for the long tables and benches set in the vineyards, which encourage sharing and feasting amongst friends and family on long lazy days in the open air!
