Due to its intimate proportions, Basalt has become on of my favourite eating out venues during lockdown. Fantastic atmosphere and friendly serving staff, albeit a little scarce when you need them - however they instantly improved when alerted to this.
The food is the main drawing card with its the simple menu comprising of well thought out dishes for every palate - it's not uncommon to be enjoying your meal while having food envy for the other dishes on the table. A very nice touch was a visit from the head chef (Feni Malebye-Lutalo), who has outdone herself since taking the helm.
Basalt is on the higher end of the price scale but well worth it if you're looking for a great fine dining experience. Highly recommended.
