Ms. Waffles (Morningside)

Located inside Durban’s new foodie destination – The Foodbox – Ms. Waffles offers a modern twist on the traditional Belgium waffle. The waffles on a stick are dipped in smooth, velvety Belgian chocolate in milk, white, dark, caramel and even ruby cocoa. They’re then served with a range of toppings including strawberries, crushed cookies, Aero mint, and hundreds and thousands sprinkles.

This dessert-only eatery is bringing the trendy bubble waffle to KZN’s shores. The sweet waffle creations are filled with treats like chocolate honeycomb; caramel corn; strawberries and cream; caramel sauce and bananas; and chocolate ice cream with Oreos. After feasting on one of the popular burgers, cast your eyes over the “Schweets” menu for your choice of their killer waffles. Toppings and flavours include cookies and cream; classic ice cream; and Nutella. You can also order half portions, if your eyes are bigger than your stomach.

This urban brewery means business when it comes to their desserts. The homemade beer and honey waffles are sensational and come topped with salted caramel and macadamia nut praline. There’s also a savoury option, which is topped with crispy fried chicken, bacon, pickles, rocket and a chilli crème.
