Louise Hechter, STRAND: Sunday 24 June 2018 LUCH @ Longtable On Sunday 24 June 2018, myself and 60 of my closest friends and family, took a 50th birthday journey through Longtable and Haskellvinyard’s diverse range of flavors and textures, pairing Beef Wellington with three times gold winner 2017,Merlot. Winemaker, Rianie Strydom really “outdid” herself with this beauty. Head Chef Charles Joubert’s menu reflects creativity and passion and both food and wine, a match made in heaven. Operational Manager, Barbara Mackenzie and her team kept the service to a five star level and Barbara’s warm approach and open channels of communication was a refreshing experience. Set amongst such beautiful surrounding and vineyards, Longtable and its country setting will for sure be the topic on my friends & families tongues for months to come. We really had an immensely good time and what a pleasure to enter my fifties in such a way. Thank you Haskell Vineyards, Longtable, Barbara Mackenzie, Charles Joubert and team.
