It’s time to don your stretchy, comfort-food pants: The very first Cape Town Pizza & Pasta Festival has landed and will take place on Saturday 16 September at The Range in Tokai. The foodie festival is promising all things starchy and cheesy, with a vast selection of restaurants and vendors coming to the party as well as local musicians.
While some names are yet to be confirmed, you can expect the likes of Posticino, Col’Cacchio, The Pasta Factory, Tru Pizza, Pizza Piaggio, The Pizza Punk, Some Oaks Bistro, Bella Italia, Scandalous food truck, Boulevard 82 food truck and Eezi Street Pizza food truck. For refreshments, look forward to Marley Coffee, Ayama Wines, Boston Breweries and more.
The live entertainment will include a local line-up of artists including Majozi, Daniel Baron, Shaun Koch Trio, Soldier, Sunset Sweatshop and more.
The Italian-inspired festival is limiting the number of visitors to 1500 per sitting, with a lunch session that begins at 11am and ends at 5pm, and a dinner session that begins at 5pm and ends at 10pm.
Tickets are available via Webtickets and cost R220 for a lunch or dinner sitting, and R250 for an all-day pass. Tickets will include vouchers that can be redeemed for your choice of pizza and pasta tasters.
