Looking to channel your inner Italian? Boschendal wine estate in Franschhoek has announced a pasta-making workshop that will take place on 8 and 9 July, where foodies can learn how to make pasta like a real Italiano.
Under the guidance of executive chef Christiaan Campbell and his team, budding cooks will be able to learn the art of making fresh traditional shapes and filled pasta. Using fresh ingredients, the workshop will also showcase the technical aspects of pasta, such as rolling and filling, and creating perfect sauces.
To top it off, the indulgent weekend also includes one night in Boschendal’s luxury Werf Cottages, where guests can enjoy the Saturday afternoon workshop followed by a two-course dinner at The Werf Restaurant. Sunday’s events will then start with a breakfast in the Farm Deli, followed by the Sunday workshop, and finishing up with light lunch.
This Italian-themed weekend will take place from 8–9 July 2017 and will cost R1970 per person sharing or R2155 per single person. Both prices include Saturday night’s accommodation in the Werf Cottages, two pasta-making workshops, and dinner, breakfast and lunch. Bookings can be made via accommodation@boschendal.co.za or 021 870 4202.
