Owner's description
A much loved local 23 year old watering hole, intimate in the manner of a typical English village pub, always full of locals who love the wood and horse brasses on the walls. Pictures of other Royal Oak pubs all over the English speaking world adorn the walls and the area above the bar. Tables and comfy corners encourage one to congeniality and many a friendship has sprung up here. Definitely by far the best of the three I have visited so far. Leaded windows add to the character—loaded with atmosphere, very much the kind of place one can forget that outside is the suburbia which is Tableview.
