What an absolutely magnificent experience was had! View over Sandton in the evening was superb, as was the food - so flavourful and just could absolutely not be faulted! Will definitely be back!
“Luce” means light – and it is easy to see why. One wall of the restaurant is entirely made up of enormous windows, so you have beautiful views of Johannesburg for as far as the eye can see. What a view! I can imagine that, if you are visiting Luce for dinner, the views will be even more spectacular! Luce is also known for the menu – an interesting fusion of Italian and Japanese cuisine. And last, but definitely not least – an enticing cocktail menu. We had a taste of a few of Luce’s popular menu items, starting off with this freshly baked herb bread and balsamic dressing. Who doesn’t love bread! Who doesn’t love freshly baked bread! Followed by these beautiful dishes – just look at the delicious caprese salad! One of my favourite dishes – so fresh. I also tried the crispy calamari, tempura vegetables, grilled lemon – seriously tasty. Loved the bites of tempura veggies in-between. Next up! Battered hake and sirloin steak with mushroom sauce and the yummiest onion rings. We also had the most delectable veal tortellini and veggies – and I only noticed now that I didn’t take a proper photo of it, probably because I was really digging into these scrumptious dishes and chatting away with fabulous friends! Add some soft chocolate souffle and vanilla ice cream in the mix and voila! A perfect afternoon indeed! By invitation
