A quaint and hidden little place in Boskruin. Decor is earthy with wooden benches, wood-framed mirrors and bright-orange plastic chairs. Service is good and friendly. When you are seated, a glass of water is given. I like that. The owner/baker was extremely helpful when I tried to drink my hot cappuccino - served in a glass. He showed me how its done in France - you fold the serviette around the glass. Voila! I decided to have a Rocky Road Bar - its rich and sweet but bursting with yummies - marshmallows, dates, rice krispies, cherries and a few other surprises. On their drink menu they have a few interesting items - Sweet and Salty Mocha Latte and Paleo Milk & Cookies (yes, its a drink). Power Smoothies' choices are toooooo interesting: Espresso & Peanut Butter, Strawberries & Cream and Millionaires Shortbread. Oh yeah!!!! For future lunches, my eye is caught by: Spiced Pork Belly, Grass Fed Beef (even if its only to boast about), Aloo Tikki (potato cake stuffed with mozzarella, artichoke, pine kernels sun dried tomato on spiced lentils with hummus) - wow, something I'll have to try next time! They always have a table stacked with cookies, homemade protein bars, fresh breads and bread rolls and they also cater for gluten-free clients. It was very quiet at 11 am, but I'm sure with a few more people, the vibe will be great.
