Three highly respected members of the South African hospitality industry will judge the 2007 Eat Out Johnnie Walker Restaurant Awards.

Food alchemist Peter Goffe-Wood, Letitia Prinsloo, founder of the Institute of Culinary Arts and Vice President of the SA Chefs Association Arnold Tanzer will combine their gastronomic expertise in order to commend some truly exceptional people and places.

The judges have already visited the short listed restaurants, nominated by the Eat Out team of 27 national restaurant reviewers, and evaluated them anonymously.

The credibility that these eminent judges bring to the event, our readers and the culinary industry will assure you of an objective and credible judging process.

The winning chefs and restaurants will be announced at the upcoming Eat Out Johnnie Walker Restaurant Awards 2007 that take place at the end of November. Heralded as the Oscars of the South African restaurant industry, all the old favourites will be announced – Best Chef, Best Restaurant and Top Ten – as well as some exciting new additions, the Service Excellence awards as well as the Woolworths TASTE award for best new Up and Coming Chef.

The awards also mark the launch of the 2007 edition of Eat Out – The Restaurant Guide of South Africa, on sale 27 November.
