The Brasserie restaurant at the Quarters Hotel in Durban has come out tops at the recently held Tourism KwaZulu-Natal Service Excellence Awards for 2007 at Durban’s ICC.

The Brasserie won Traditional Restaurant of the Year for its down-to-earth classic hospitality style. The restaurant, situated in the foodie gourmet zone of Florida road, then scooped double honours when head chef, Gareth Lawler, won the Chef of the Year title.

The Quarters Hotel was created boutique-style by restoring four old Victorian homes and adding modern touches. Dine outside in the courtyard or in the conservatory-style restaurant.
