Celebrated Chef, George Jardine, of Jardine restaurant in Cape Town, has walked away with the Eat Out Chef Of the Year title for the second year running. This was announced at the extravagant 2007 Eat Out Restaurant Awards ceremony, held at The Rotunda at The Bay Hotel in Camps Bay on 25 November.

Born in Edinburgh, Scotland, Jardine first moved to Cape Town in 1996, heading up The Cellars Hohenhort Hotel. His impressive list of accolades includes a stint at the renowned Altitude restaurant in Sydney, which was voted the Australian Restaurant of the Year for 2005 while under his guidance.

Jardine was also selected as one of Eat Out’s Top 10 Restaurants for 2007.
