South African Airways (SAA) has chosen Fleur du Caps Unfiltered Sauvignon Blanc 2007 as its champion white wine for 2008 by awarding it the SAA White Wine Trophy of the Year.

Fleur du Cap Unfiltered Sauvignon Blanc 2007 is the latest in a lineage of award-winning Sauvignon Blancs of consistent high quality. Its predecessor, the current 2006 vintage, clinched a Gold medal at the International Wine Challenge (IWC) in London earlier this year, whilst the Fleur du Cap Unfiltered Sauvignon Blanc 2005 won a Grand D’Or medal at the 2005 Michelangelo International Wine Awards.

Fleur du Cap Unfiltered Sauvignon Blanc 2007 is made from  handpicked grapes from vineyards in Lutzville, Darling and Stellenbosch.

It will be served in the Premium class cabin on all SAA flights from March 2008.
