Renée Daneel and her winemaker husband, Jean, has turned an old house in the charming Overberg town of Napier, into an elegant eatery.
Aptly named Renéessance, the restaurant specialises in Mediterranean cuisine with the menu reflecting inspiration from the southern regions of Italy and France specifically.
Seasonal changes are incorporated, with current options including chickpea rissoles with grilled peppers, marinated calamari salad with fresh herbs and grilled vegetables, as well as lasagna of ricotta, feta, gruyere and grilled baby marrow.
