Aiming to bring a culinary highlight to the events calendar in Gauteng, Pretoria foodies Celeste Ras and Yvonne Venter, launched Proetoria – a festival which combines a couple of gourmet ingredients with a pinch of Afrikaans.

“We want a stylish occasion right on our doorstep  – a festival where we could serve just the best cheese, food, wine and other tantalising drinks and dishes”, says Celeste.

So if you’re in the Jacaranda City towards the end of the month, be sure to make your way to Proetoria, at the Cornwall Hill College (on the R21 between Pretoria & Oliver Tambo International Airport) between 17 October and Sunday 19 October 2008.
