At the newly spruced-up cafe on Table Mountain, the idea of a restaurant with to-die-for views, is taken to a higher level – with sweeping vistas of the Twelve Apostles and the Atlantic Ocean.

The Airy Café now offers a trendy menu that includes anything from pizzas, gourmet burgers, and wholesome meals of the day with traditional South African twists, enhanced by the selection of fine local wines.

A selection of pre-packed light meals is also available from the gourmet deli while pastries, speciality teas and coffees are on offer at the coffee bar.

In keeping with greener times, the cafe has introduced organic, compostable plates and containers for food instead of regular, washable plates.

And of course, the aerial cableway trip up the mountain is an added bonus.
