US president Barack Obama toasted his election night with a bottle of none other than South Africa’s very own Graham Beck NV cap classique.
Nelson Mandela toasted his own inauguration with the very same back in 1994.
Mr Obama is said to have first tasted the bubbly on the recommendation of a sommelier in February 2008 when celebrating his decision to run for the presidency.
