Multi-award winning Auberge Michel is facing economic downturn in true sophisticated style with the introducing of a three-course lunch and dinner Gastro-Recession menu in addition to the restaurant’s regular a la carte offering.
At R225 it is stylish value with a menu of spring roll of chevin goat cheese starter followed by a Tiger prawn open hamburger or parmentier of de-boned duck, and a vanilla and cherry crème brûlée to sate the sweet tooth.
Trademark extravagant delicacies such as foie gras and truffles will remain on the a la carte menu, which is changed every four months.
“The team at Auberge Michel aim to offer value for money hence the introduction of the gastro-recession menu … this doesn’t mean we can compromise on our service levels. Our good reputation is paramount. Customers will only return if they have had a first class experience.”
