New chef at Hotel Izulu

Gigis restaurant at Hotel Izulu in Ballito has a new executive chef, Guy Gorrie, who has designed a new menu aimed at the more health-conscious.

Most of the vegetables and herbs are grown organically on the property or sourced from organic farms; all the meat is free-range and certified hormone-free, and all chocolate is sourced from organic producers. Bread is made daily using only organic flour.

The Izulu garden salad, chocolate loin of springbok with fondant potato, lamb shank bobotie, or death by chocolate fondant, are popular menu choices.
