Fantastic lunch specials are served from 11am and there are always interesting dinner specials. Off the a la carte menu, the Fillet Steak on Mushroom and the Game Platter are signature dishes. Arnolds has created a Gemsbok "Wellington" steak, marvellous!

Went to Arnolds this morning for my anniversary breakfast with my fiance and was so disappointed with everything especially after the rave reviews I heard. The service was screaming please just order, eat and leave. I asked if they could only give me egg whites fried since I dont eat the yellow of an egg, the waiter said no so I asked if they then could make my eggs well done so I could cut out the yellow. The eggs came with the yellow almost completely mixed with the white. The sausage was bordering on biltong and cold. Couldnt decide if they were going for baked tomato or fresh, it was in between. First time ever in my life I did not leave a tip. Dont intend to ever go back.

Friends invited us to join them at Arnolds last night. We joined them for drinks and to watch the game. Now this is where it gets complicated, cause the first part is NOT the reason Im complaining. When the bill came around, we realised that a R100 table deposit was added to the bill, and besides the fact that its quite cheeky, and a rip off, the girl that made the booking was not informed about this. UNACCEPTABLE.But thats not what the complaint is about... A waitress walked past our table, and said something under her breath, and rushed off to the back where she had a big bitch with the other waiters as well as the manager. When she came past again, I asked her name, and she informed me with LOADS of attitude, that I must feel free to report her to the owner. We asked her what this was all about, and she took us on, telling us that we were insulting the staff, including the manager. A complete lie, and also completely unacceptable. There was a feeling of the race card thrown in as well, because the manager mentioned earlier in the night that he supported Ghana, and we called him the Ghana supporter, and in turn we were accused of insulting staff. I dont want to sent this complaint to Arnolds, because I will not go back there, and I dont care if they feel they want to do anything about this. I just find it incredible that a waitress can take on customers, and then tell them quite blatantly to report her to the owner. I am in this industry myself, and that was a first.
