Wine and dine at the Cape Grace

Wine lovers will soon be able to taste their way though the Western Capes finest estate offerings courtesy of the Cape Graces Signal Restaurant.

Assisted by sommelier Tessa Lynne Miles, executive chef Malika van Reenen will pair local fare with top-notch wines in the Cape Graces series of Wine and Dine evenings.

For the upcoming Nitida Wine Estate event on 25 May, for example, Malika has created the following menu:

Canapés
Asian salmon tartare with passion-fruit dressing Baked chèvre pangritata balls and onion reduction Semillon 2009

Starter
Thyme-butter poached yellowtail, Provençal vegetables and basil-tomato nage
Sauvignon Blanc 2009

Main
Grilled springbok loin, root vegetable pavé, asparagus and cherry jus
Cabernet Sauvignon 2009

Dessert
Steamed pineapple pudding with caramel-lime ice cream
Coronata 2008

Other wineries that will feature during the course of the year include Bouchard Finlayson, Hamilton Russell, Graham Beck and Waterkloof.

Wine and Dine evenings cost R330 per person, and include canapés and a three-course set menu, each served with a complementary wine.
