When you think of sherry and other fortified wines, you usually think of chilly winter evenings spent by the fire. Well, that’s about to change. This month, Eat Out and Monis are giving readers the opportunity to learn about pairing food and fortified wines during an interactive evening to be held at French Toast in Cape Town.
On 24 February, readers can join us for an evening of learning and laughter – and fabulous food and wine. During the session, readers will discover that it doesn’t have to be cold outside to enjoy these wines, and that they don’t have to be reserved for before or after a meal. A lovely glass of pale dry sherry goes beautifully with a biltong salad, for example. And wouldn’t that make a lovely light book club dinner?
