Over seven hundred entries were received for our competition to win the new iPad last month. All our readers had to do was find the link on our Facebook page and suggest a snappy slogan for the brand new Eat Out.
The creative juices flowed, and hundreds of you spent ages (we could tell) coming up with witticisms, clever little idioms and great catchphrases. Some entrants spent a little less time (we could tell this also), yet still provided some wacky and wonderfully amusing ideas.
After a long deliberation, we can announce that the winner of the new iPad is Alison Sutcliffe-Smit, with the beauty, “Restaurants. Recipes. Reviews”.
The slogan works perfectly for our new and souped-up website, though it will not quite fit with our annual restaurant directory and our prestigious Eat Out Restaurant Awards whose focus will remain firmly on restaurants. (What a tricky task we have set ourselves!) But until we find the perfect fit for all of Eat Out’s platforms, “Restaurants. Recipes. Reviews.” will appear proudly on our website.
Well done, Alison! Enjoy your new toy. And thanks to everyone who came along for the ride.
