The iconic Constantia Valley will once again host the popular Constantia Food and Wine Festival this coming weekend, from Friday 19 April to Sunday 21 April. The event promises to showcase over 40 of the area’s finest wines as well as delicious food from award-winning restaurants nearby.
Festival revellers will also be treated to live entertainment. On Friday afternoon Fiona Hare?will be performing, followed in the evening by Shen Wynberg. Saturday afternoon’s act is IKE Moriz, followed by Blackbyrd in the evening, and Docetones on Sunday afternoon.
There will also be an open-air kids play area with activities for children of all ages, as well as a climbing wall. A shuttle service to the entrance of the venue will be provided for all guests from the parking area opposite Constantia Uitsig, which used to be home to La Colombe (no 7 in 2012 Eat Out DStv Food Network Restaurant Awards Top 10) and the now-closed Constantia Uitsig and River Café restaurants.
Participating wine farms include Beau Constantia, Buitenverwachting, Groot Constantia, Silvermist Vineyards, Constantia Uitsig, Constantia Glen, Eagles’ Nest, Steenburg Vineyards, High Constantia and Klein Constantia.

Cost: R150 per person per day, which includes 10 tastings at participating wine farms. R30 for under 18s. There will be food for sale.
