If you love nature like me, this place is the best hideaway from all the city buzz. As always I am here on a Sunday for the Sunday set menu going for R260. Food is always amazing and they offer a variety of three starters, three mains where you get to choose one with a vegetarian option which is wonderful. For this trip I opted for the steak and for my starter I had the baby marrow and halloumi with reduced vinaigrette. The best this is that the food is well presented and the taste is always amazing. They introduced the desert board that can be shared per table with a variety ranging from lemon tart, chocolate biscotti, meringue with berries. And cream with boozy tiramisu cake. The searing is under the trees and you get all the fresh air and wonderful view of the top estate. I recommend it anytime of the year as they offer indoor seating as well. The service is amazing and there is always someone checking on you. And I always feel the staff goes a long way. With the Estate it's a great place to get kids run loose.

So this place has the most awesome service in the whole of Johannesburg. When we got here since my last visit on my birthday, all the trees were lush and raining mulberries. This place is amazing to come with kids and just get lost in nature. I wish I could upload pictures to give you a reality of its beauty. Truly a country hotel. Welcomed with freshly baked bread that is made at the restaurant and served with butter. This Sunday buffet is affordable and worth the price of R206 per person and half price for kids. Between my partner and I we order and share. This is played but the portions are generous. Smoked chicken said and grilled halloumi for me and my partner. The chicken salad comes with pita bread slices and avo. The grilled halloumi has motivated me to get some at home and is a nice vegetarian dish. For dinner it was a fillet steak and a Tricjado. Both dishes are amazing and by the time desert came I was full. And the desert selection is big and this time I enjoyed the lemon cheese cake. And off we went for a swim on the estate pool. Lunch is under the tree and with a beautiful breeze. Getting the kids in the pool after an eat is what makes their weekend. This is a must go. They serve amazing breakfast too.

So this is one of my favorite eateries in the whole of Johannesburg. I have Bern there more times mainly for their Sunday buffet which is plated and the taste just never disappoints. This restaurant is on the outskirts of Johannesburg and being a nature lover these are the kind of places I prefer to get lost in. They have horses and it's green everywhere and I use this place for client events. The plated buffet they have for R206 which is a three course is morethan filling. And for the price one can choose from chicken to beef. And the food taste amazing I can still feel it on my tongue. And the desert is a variety and satisfying. The service is amazing. I went in with family for my birthday and the service is morethan expected. And I would recommend it to anyone. And on route to lanseria airport. Thanks to the Hertford for awesome experience. Money does not compare to the level of service here because they are all about service and mean it.

What a wonderful surprise, going back after 9 years. The service is unrivalled, the place is still so beautiful, a little ramshackle, but you are out in the country in ten minutes.

Warm, friendly, the food - wow, out of this world, I had the BEST fillet steak I have ever had, and a carpaccio to die for, and so reasonable, a basic but price friendly wine list.

We had a very pleasant 5 hour lunch, and we will be back,
