Close to the intersection between Andringa and Plein Street is a small door with stairs which leads up the Balboa Balcony Bar. Inside the lights are a bit dimmed which makes the atmosphere a bit more intimate, but with the music playing in the background you still get the social feel of a bar. There are a number of tables lining the street side of the restaurant with big windows giving you a nice view of the street life below. They have some local craft beers as well as cocktails available with some of the ladies going for the Watermelon Daiquiri which they say was very tasty and refreshing. All of us decided to go for pizza which was a great idea as they have a number to choose from, but they make it more interactive by allowing you to select any 3 additional toppings for free which they bring to you separately. This was something different as we could compile our own combination of toppings and also sharing toppings with each other. I recommend that you add Balboa to your list of restaurants to visit in Stellenbosch.
