Very disappointing! Incompetent service, meals very small and very expensive. And, to top it all, only cash accepted! Not many people carry much cash on them?

Owner's description
The Boathouse Coffee Shop serves light, home-cooked meals and they are pet-friendly. It is located on the corner of 9th Street and Beach Road, with a lovely view of Yzerfontein. For the small West Coast seaside town that Yzerfontein is known for, this restaurant is the perfect place to be. You still have the view in this tiny but congenial space, but it is a lot more relaxed than a full-size restaurant.

We had the wonderful experience of sitting down for breakfast at the Boathouse in Yzerfontein and the owner walked over to us as he noticed our 2 dogs in the car. He not only invited them to join us on the deck, he brought out a blanket and water and served them each a breakfast sausage. Needless to say they now have us as customers for life.
