Went for dinner on a Wed night and enjoyed the food but the service needs work. Staff are slow and no real idea of clearing tables, waiting till starters done to bring mains. Did like the decor and menu is varied. Online menu offers items not on the restaurant menu.

Highly recommend this restaurant! I adore Thai food but I have battled to find, fresh, non greasy, colourful, tasty Thai. This place exceeded all of my expectations with a delicious and very varied menu, all the deep fried goodies are non-oily (a HUGE plus for me), the actual restaurant is very quirky with cool staff and I like that you can see the chefs at work through a window! I've been there a few times already (I may be addicted...) and have tried a number of the meals - all of which were divine. It's very well priced (R66 for a chicken curry) and the wine list is reasonable with a good selection, which is important to me! If you enjoy Thai, you have to head over to Greenside!

After Cranks closed, it has been difficult to find authentic Thai food in Joburg, thank goodness Thai Café has opened! We went last night (29/05/2014) for supper and left highly impressed with plans to return again and again. We shared delightful crispy (not oily) vegetable spring rolls as a starter, and tried the chicken penang curry, prawn phad thai and the crispy duck. All three dishes were just delicious. The wine is very reasonable priced just as the food is too, especially considering the high quality you get. I highly recommend Thai Café and cannot wait to return!

Love this new spot in the hood. Our lovely waitress, Abigail, was so friendly and helpful. Its a very pretty, well put together restaurant. The Duck dish on the menu, which is the most expensive dish, is only R 100. The food was tasty and authentic. We had the cashew chicken stir fry, the crispy duck and the beef red curry. Everything was spectacular. Abigail informed me that will be opening a coctail bar upstairs shortly. Highly recommend this restauarnt. Can't wait to go back!!

Divine food, very friendly and efficient service. Excellent value for money. The portions are large and very fresh and yummy. The atmosphere is great and you can see the cooks preparing the food. Very cool.
