What a tragedy this place is! So sad considering the staff seem so friendly. On a beautiful Cape Town night we were all set for a superb meal on a snazzy street side. Wine list is not bad and prices are actually good. We started with sushi. At a risk of being prejudicial to fish I must say the "salmon" looked too much like trout; still fresh and tasty though. They certainly are cheap so I guess this would be why. Our duck in oyster sauce never came. Staff simply forgot. Sakura has work to do to escape the fong-kong label!

The worst food I have ever seen. I asked to take it back, thats how bad it was but there was no compromising with the owner. The sushi cannot even be called that. You get half price sushi even when you paying full price. Sushi box serves an identical dish to them with 8 prawns if we got 2 in total on our portion from sakura it was alot. Also they served veg fuyong with frozen carrots peas and corn as the veg....no chinese vegetabkes at all. It was so bad that I have decided to warn other people. Please there are beautiful restuarants which serve amazing food, not like this place that we shoukd support. First time custimer and I will never go back to sakura or recommend them to anyone.

I went to this restaurant for their half price sushi and I must say it was amazing, the sushi is fresh and has a really good taste. The service was good and although they were full they catered to my every need. I would reccomend this place to all sushi lovers.

I am a Harfield Village resident, whom is a big sushi fan! I was so excited when Sakura opened, as it's within walking distance for us. The last 2 months service, has deteriorated to the point I just walked out the restaurant. The sushi belt was filled with different plates of sushi in a quiet restaurant with no lids! Drinks took ages, with only 2 tables to serve in the whole retaurant! Last month on a Friday, I swore never to come back after shocking food and service. From a once loyal customer, to a no go...I definitley do not recommend this retstaurant! Some serious staff training and dedication from the owner is needed!

We live in the area and this is our local weekly sushi fix. Amazingly good sushi and very reasonable. We love this place. It lacks ambience in the best most authentic way!
