Amazing sushi and a very cute spot :) they have a 20% off sushi Mon-Thursday from 12-3 as well which is great!

Had a great dinner at Lovefish. It was an impromptu dinner with my partner so we did not have a reservation but the restaurant was relatively empty on a Sunday night. As such we had pretty good service, our waiter was friendly. I had sushi to start and the seafood pasta for mains. Loved my pasta, it was delicious. My partner had a noodle dish which he wasn't as pleased about. For dessert we had the popcorn salted caramel ice cream which was a simple and nice ending to the meal. Lovefish is great for a casual family meal, good service and standard good food at affordable rates.

For a seafood restaurant the food I ordered was so poorly prepared, I was disappointed. My starter was sushi which was quite good. The problem was the main course, I ordered salmon, medium rare. What I received was a very uneven poor cut of salmon medium on the center and over cooked, almost biltongy on the sides. At over R200 fore the salmon I expect a good cut and cooked to specification. When we complained to the manager he tried to justify how the salmon was cooked and said next time he will make sure we are given prope salmon. This should have been fixed the first time , I will definitely not be back for a"next time". When I go to a specialty seafood restaurant it is beau see I want quality seafood, Love Fish has the opposite. In fact after my experience there, for tonight I Hate fish.
