This new addition to the Eye of Africa group. Heading the restaurant operation is Peter Karam, the name behind many of Johannesburg’s longest-running and best-loved establishments, including the Thunder Gun in Northcliff, Kyalami’s Blueberry Grill, and Chef and the Fat Man in Fourways.
The breakfast crowd can tuck into a traditional farmhouse plate of bacon and eggs, or opt for something light and healthy, like a fruit platter served with nuts, oats and a honey drizzle. There will also be some decadent options: think of poached eggs laced with hollandaise sauce, for instance. Golfers looking for something tasty will be able to choose from a range of snack platters or, if they’re in the mood for something more substantial, burgers and chips. The lunchtime menu will also feature classics like Falkland’s calamari, and fusion flavour sensations like parmesan and salsa bruschetta or fillet steak stacks.
Afternoon delights include a range of espresso-based coffees, prepared by formally trained baristas using imported beans from Douw Egberts, accompanied by delectable cakes. Those with a sweet tooth can also indulge in evergreen favourites like chocolate and caramel mousse or malva pudding.
