Owner's description

Fusion is a family owned business and is not part of any franchise or group. True to the meaning of the word FUSION (blending of different styles and tastes) there is no specific style to our cuisine other than exceptional taste, quality and presentation. Fusion is a ground level Restaurant overlooking Walker Bay, known as the best land based whale-watching spot in the World. They cater for both inside and alfresco style dining in a relaxed atmosphere. They are open 7 days a week for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Their menu includes dishes inspired by the sea, cattle ranch, chicken-coop, vegetable garden and the sandwich bar. Their beverage list not only includes some of their local wines and wines from the Stellenbosch district, but also incorporates their South African beers, some international beers, spirits and cocktails. They always strive to present their customers with exceptional quality, taste, presentation and service.

The pasta dish was not bad however it lack some presence of the cashew nuts. The mix basket did not deliver as this was just fried food in a steel basket. The brie and "cold meat" burger was also not bad but it needed some flavour and the patty was a tad overdone to my liking. Nachos should have more options available. Service was slow, restaurant was not busy however we had to wait for drinks and ultimately had to go in to the restaurant to pay our bill. One other thing is that waiter did offer us samples of a craft beer on tap, which afforeded us the opertunity to taste and make a decision on to which one to order

What happened to the customer being right always? Generally the food was of above average quality, but when one specific dish was questioned, instead of an apology, a passive argument was delivered by the chef via the floor manager. In conclusion, the chef delivered, but his arrogance prevented him from acknowledging any mistakes.
