I have frequented Cappucino's in the Brooklyn square for almost ten years now , and have always had a good experience , however that track record was shattered last night when I took a friend there to bid him farewell before he leaves abroad. The service was prompt , friendly and very professional. The foos was one disaster after another. My guest ordered chicken livers and was served normal livers cut up in big chunks. We kept quiet and he didn't finish it. I ordered snails in a garlic -cheese sauce. There was no sauce but a think hard layer of some hard rubbery jelly thing on top of over-microwaved snails. the bread on the side of both the chicken livers and the snails were so old and hard , I believe it was pre- Christmas stock. It was like trying to dip rusks into a cheese crust. We kept quiet and didn't eat it. Then I ordered fettucini Alfredo , and it came in a hard ball of over-microwaved spagetti with no ham and again the dry sauce. It smelled and tasted like someone burned it and tried to correct their mistake. It was absolutely awful and tasted disgusting. This time I send it back , only to hear from the "chef" that I added too much parmesan cheese and that's the reason for the awful taste. I know parmesan and I know burned food and this was no parmesan. The friendly waiter brought me another plate. This time too saucy and just as awful. I didn't eat it and asked for a doggy bag. Then I ordered a peppermint crisp desert. The waiter informed me that was out of stock , but they have a peppermint cake with cream. I settled for that. Thank God for small mercies like cream , cause the cake was so old and hard I would have choked without the cream. As I said right in the beginning , I have frequented the same restaurant for almost ten years , and I can only make the following conclusion : The was no chef on duty , and if there was , it was not the regular chef or anybody that knows anything about food. The food served was old and pre-Christmas stock. On a positive note , the young waitress needs to be mentioned for her friendliness , her apologies even though none is her fault and her excellent service. I paid R400-00 for food that my dog didn't want to eat when we presented the doggy bag. This restaurant will not see me or my family or my friends again.

I was just at cappucinos Brooklyn and received the worst service ever!!! After waiting over an hour we called the manager. He asked for another 5minutes.. Then the food came and the pizza was looking old.. And they said they sorry they didn't bring my tremmezini cos they gonna make a new one. I clearly asked for chips and the waiter even wrote it down.. It came to the table with salad... The bowl of chili that they brought was chipped! The glass of water was dirty! What pathetic service!!!! I have photos if anyone would like to see!!!

Service is excellent and me and my friends personally like the manager Twarego - not sure of his name. He's so hard-working and dedicated and he has a warm welcoming face.
