Great location right on the beach with sea views, just what we were looking for while on holiday. The restaurant as a whole needs an upgrade this includes the concrete tables and chair.

Mariners has been under new ownership for just over a year now...and this you can tell by the changes. The dining area outdoors is now protected from the weather and the concrete tables and chairs have been replaced with decent seating. A pizza oven has been installed and produces great pizza, the menu has been revamped and thankfully, my favourite, peri peri chicken livers is still available. We were there for lunch two weekends ago and the beef fillet was grilled to perfection. It was outstanding. They serve a red wine I really enjoyed and non-alcoholic beers aswell. The staff are efficient, the barmen knowledgeable, and the atmosphere, friendly.

Been an avid holiday goer at this location for over 30 years. Despite the beautiful scenery the Mariners restaurant fails to impress as it has the feel of a typical public beach toilet. The ambience is very uninviting and so is the service. The staff seem uninterested and display a lack of interpersonal skills, the only inviting and friendly aspect were the stray cats that come up to greet you on arrival. There is a large variety of choices available on the menu at above average prices and the food is substandard in many regards. Furthermore dispite a quiet day at the beach, management did not seem concerned or paid any interest in the patrons.
