Hamburger patties

Chutney, tomato sauce and plenty of Italian herbs make this a winning recipe for hamburger patties. Pair with a glass of Nederburg cabernet sauvignon.

Serves: 4 people

Ingredients

500g lean beef
1 egg
50 ml milk
1 finely chopped onion
15 ml Robertsons Italian herbs
10 ml Robertsons Barbecue Spice
30 ml tomato sauce
30 ml chutney
30 ml cake flour
sunflower oil

Method

Preheat oven to 180 degrees C. In a bowl mix all the ingredients together until well combined. Shape the mixture into round flat patties, cover with cling film and allow to chill for 20 minutes. Heat oil in a pan and seal patties on both sides. Remove from pan and place on a baking tray. Allow them to cook in the oven for about 15 minutes to cook through.

Pair with a glass of Nederburg cabernet sauvignon.
