Le chêne is chef Darren Badenhorst’s second Franschhoek restaurant. Translating to mean ‘The Oak Tree’, Le chêne is housed in the beautiful Manor House at the historic Leeu Estates. The chef is cooking up French-inspired dishes made using regional produce, honouring Franschhoek by serving up quintessentially local ingredients and a cuisine richly steeped in the valley’s heritage.
