Food

The menu is designed as a set tapas-style tasting menu for two, the dishes coming served two at a time in sequence. Kick off the dining experience with fresh oysters mignonette served on a beautiful bed of sea greens. The tender venison tartare topped with shaved miso egg yolk is a great start to the dining experience, combining earthy and fresh flavours.

The rock lobster carbonara is a flavour and texture sensation – this rich, decadent and comforting dish is served up in the most beautiful fine-dining style. It’s familiar yet completely new at the same time, making for a definite highlight to the meal. On this occasion the Chefs Warehouse signature seasonal risotto flavour was barbecued carrot with smoked walnut – and it’s worth all the hype. The rice, perfectly cooked and creamy, comes with moreish mild smoky undertones.

Dessert is optional and doesn’t form part of the set menu. The grapefruit shortcake with burnt vanilla ganache, served with a rose-and-grapefruit sorbet, is a lovely fresh option. There’s also a selection of local cheeses available that come served on a trolley. The selection of hand-made bon bons is also a great ending to the meal.

Drinks

The wine list is extensive and includes both local and imported wines. There’s a sommelier on hand to guide you along your wine and drinks selection, just in case the vast selection becomes overwhelming. Some wines are available by the glass and there’s also a selection of house cocktails (non-alcoholic options are available too).

Service

Servers are friendly, professional and efficient. Each dish is served with its own set of cutlery and the staff are well-versed in explaining each dish in full detail.

Ambience

This scenic restaurant on the edge of the sea is a breathtaking experience from start to end. The restaurant décor is minimal, featuring crystal chandelier centrepieces and exposed roof beams. The main focus is of course the unbeatable sea view, which is visible from all parts of the restaurant. Request to sit on the patio edge for the best views and sea sounds.
