The menu is exquisite, with plenty to choose from. If you want to experience a bit of everything, opt for the amazing selection of tapas. To start, the calamari ribbons with squid ink risotto is superb – so good that it should be a main instead of a starter.
If you love a good salad, order the sundried tomato quinoa salad with a herb dressing, mixed seeds, feta mousse, roasted Rosa tomatoes and crispy sweet potato. The Tuscan chicken is scrumptious, featuring grilled deboned chicken thighs marinated in sundried tomato, Tuscan sauce, ricotta cheese, cashew nuts and crisp sundried tomato.
For dessert, the deconstructed bougatsa with lemon and cardamom custard, apples and fennel purée, spiced white chocolate cremeux, Amarena cherries is delicious and highly recommended.
The wide-ranging wine list is excellent but a bit pricey. You can choose from a stellar list of sparkling wines or, if you’re feeling fancy, there’s French champagne: try the NV Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label. If you’re not sure what to have, as the wine list doesn’t have descriptive notes, the sommeliers are happy to assist with wine choices to complement your meal.
The service is excellent. The staff is warm and well-informed about the menu.
Upmarket and stylish best describe the overall impression of this restaurant. The use of wood and elegant light fixtures adds to the setting, and the big beautiful olive tree in the middle of the restaurant is a great conversation starter.
