For starters go for the rich, succulent bone marrow served with crispy ciabatta, or try the grilled calamari served with lemon butter and chilli jam. For mains, the fillet with mushroom sauce is sensational. Or if you aren’t in the mood for beef, opt for the Scottish salmon served with seasonal vegetables, pickled ginger, wasabi and soya sauce.
The crème brûlée for dessert is a well-executed classic, or indulge in the chocolate fondant.
Unfortunately the restaurant doesn’t cater to vegetarians or vegans.

There’s a decent wine list on offer, with a good variety of local wines. As well as wine, they offer a selection of beers, ciders and other alcohol. The wine is well priced with an acceptable markup.
The waiters and staff are all friendly and go out of their way to truly make you feel welcome. The waiters look neat and professional, and are attentive to your needs. They have a great knowledge of the menu and are able to explain the various options of beef very well.
The restaurant has recently moved to a new location set in an old house with a roaring fireplace in the main dining area. It makes for a cosy and warm atmosphere that invites you in. The décor is well suited to the type of restaurant and nothing looks out of place.
