The highlight of the evening was, without a doubt, the food. From zucchini fries and meatball pomodoro to spinach and ricotta dumplings, Fugazzi’s antipasto selection offers a little taste of everything, allowing patrons to explore different flavours in one sitting.
We started with the crumbed fried olives served alongside a tangy fennel and caper aioli. Next, the crispy chicken wings — each succulent piece was coated in a flavourful blend of spices and perfectly fried while remaining juicy and tender on the inside. Served with spicy buffalo ketchup and a gorgonzola dip that adds a creamy and tangy element that takes them to new heights!
For the main course, we opted for the overnight slow-braised short rib-filled ravioli — a satisfying choice that showcased the skill and expertise of the chefs. The meat’s succulent tenderness and its accompanying rich and flavourful San Marzano gravy, roasted onion and cherry tomatoes, parmesan & chives created a delightful flavour profile that lingered on the palate.
Our curiosity got the best of us and we couldn’t resist the allure of the sourdough pizzas. The Pepperoni pizza had perfectly charred crusts, and featured a classic red sauce, topped with mozzarella, fior de latte, spicy salami, chilli flakes, and a hot honey drizzle which added a sweet finish.
For those seeking something other than pizza and pasta, Fugazzi offers a diverse menu that includes mouthwatering options such as lamb shank, ribeye steak and juicy burgers which are perfect for burger enthusiasts looking for an Italian-inspired twist. To complete the meal, the restaurant offers a range of irresistible desserts, including Gelato, tiramisu, and sticky toffee pudding.

If you’re looking for a unique and delicious cocktail experience, don’t miss out on the beautifully presented Pornstar Martini! The mix of passion fruit and vanilla vodka created a refreshing and tropical flavour that transports you straight to a beachside paradise. The addition of a shot of sparkling wine on the side added a touch of elegance to this already fantastic cocktail.
Next, we tried the Limoncello Margarita, a fusion of two classic drinks. Served in a chilled, salt-rimmed glass which added a nice savoury touch to each sip, this cocktail was a delightful departure from the typical margarita.
Fugazzi also provides a diverse range of wines, including a mix of popular varietals and lesser-known options, catering to a wide range of preferences.

The service was impeccable throughout the evening. Our waitress was attentive, knowledgeable, and eager to assist with any requests or inquiries. They added a personal touch to the dining experience, making us feel like valued guests.
The only slight downside was the noise level, especially during peak hours. The restaurant’s popularity is well-deserved, but it can get a bit loud, which might not be ideal for those seeking a quieter dining atmosphere.
Upon entering the restaurant, one is immediately struck by its stylish decor, which successfully blended New York City elements with traditional Italian charm. The vintage photos and dim lighting truly created a cosy ambience for our delightful culinary journey.
