The Melrose Arch Banting Market with Dr Sally-Ann Creed
Joburg food lovers who are searching for their next LCHF fix can look forward to this weekend’s first banting market in Melrose Arch. The market will play host to nutritionist and one of the authors of the Real Meal Revolution, Dr Sally-Ann Creed. Along with the offerings of tasty banting-friendly treats on sale, there will also be a book signing as well as a Q&A session with Dr Creed.
You can catch the first Melrose Arch Banting Market this Sunday 16 August at The High Street, Melrose Arch, from 9am to 1pm. Entrance is free of charge.
Stellenbosch Vintage Day
Head to scenic Simonsig Estate and spend your Saturday tasting a selection of aged wines from this leading wine estate. Visitors can take in the panoramic views of the famous mountains of Stellenbosch while enjoying vintage wine tastings, a wine masterclass, live music, scrumptious food and plenty of entertainment for the kids. Wines on offer for tastings will also be available to purchase.
Your R150 ticket includes a glass and all tastings. Children under 18 enter for free. Tickets are available via Webtickets.
Klein Karoo Klassique
Klein Karoo Klassique is Oudtshoorn’s annual festival of classical music, delicious food, fine art and wine. Visitors can look forward to a weekend of top classical musicians while enjoying the cuisine the cosy Klein Karoo town has to offer. Highlights include authentic pizzas, Italian music and local art at Bella Cibo, and jazz and shiraz at The Colony Restaurant at The Queen’s Hotel.
