Joburg commuters, rejoice: Paul’s Homemade Ice Cream, known affectionately as PHIC, has opened its second retail store at the Gautrain Station on Rivonia Road in Sandton.
The new store, which quietly opened earlier this month, boasts a dedicated ice-cream bar where customers can build their own combos, and will also be offering a flavour of the month. This month’s creation is a spring-inspired strawberry-cheesecake flavour with cream cheese and roasted berries.
Other flavours that will be available at the Gautrain store include White Rabbit, birthday cake, chocolate birthday cake, s’mores, Vietnamese coffee, Oreo, and Nutella and Oreo.
On Fridays, in addition to its standard cones, Paul’s is also going to be offering ice-cream sandwiches made with a scoop of your choice between two home-baked chocolate-chip cookies. Large handmade cones will also be an option on Fridays.
Get your ice-cream fix at the new PHIC at the Gautrain Station stop on the corner of Rivonia and 5th street, from 11am to 6pm every day.
