Partner content: One of the world’s top chefs forages on the West Coast with Kobus van der Merwe

On a recent trip to South Africa, acclaimed Spanish chef Elena Arzak, who was named best Female Chef in the World in 2012, and sous chef Igor Zalakain spent some time exploring South Africa’s diverse local cuisine.

The pair travelled up to the sleepy town of Paternoster on the West Coast in the Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 to meet with award-winning chef Kobus van der Merwe of Oep ve Koep. Kobus took the duo to forage for ingredients, thereafter sharing his version of an authentic West Coast meal.
