The South African Avocado Growers’ Association is giving away R5 000 cash to one lucky Eat Out reader who nominates their favourite avo dish at any restaurant in South Africa. (The winner will be chosen by lucky draw.)

Seasoned Eat Out readers will know about our deep and enduring love for avocados, and understand our excitement that avo emojis are coming to our phones later this month.

Locally grown avocados are in season right now, so now is the time to order that burger, pizza or sandwich with avo, dip those nachos into fresh guacamole and select a salad based on the presence of creamy avocado.

    Well, clicking on the enter now button didn’t work. My favourite avo recipe is the avo icecream served at Giovanni’s at Waterstone in Somerset West. YUM
