Renowned chef and restaurateur Giorgio Nava has announced that the beloved 95 Keerom, known for its authentic Milanese cuisine and the first restaurant which the established chef opened in Cape Town in 2003, will reopen this October.
With a number of award-winning restaurants under his portfolio, Giorgio has become synonymous with merging his passion for traditional North Italian cuisine and South African field-to-table ingredients to create exceptional dishes loved by patrons across the Mother City.
Earning the title of ‘Founding Father’ of Italian cuisine and restaurants in Cape Town, Giorgio is known for being the first to introduce a range of speciality crafted kinds of pasta, decadent chocolate fondant, beef carpaccio and the likes to South African diner palates since 2003.
Giorgio’s restaurant portfolio includes Carné on Keerom, Carné on Kloof, restaurants that highlight diverse prime meat cuts presented in true Italian minimalist tradition, 95 at Parks in Constantia and Caffé Milano Pasticceria & Bar, an authentic Italian pâtisserie and coffee bar located at LOCAL on Heritage Square.
While not much detail has been revealed about the reopening of 95 Keerom, 2023 marks 20 years since Giorgio has established himself as an exceptional chef and restaurateur in Cape Town.
This is a developing story.
