Chef Fabio Daniel to showcase SA cuisine at Rheingau Gourmet & Wein Festival in Germany

Talented chef Fabio Daniel of Eat Out 2-star restaurant Rust en Vrede and his team will be taking part in the prestigious Rheingau Gourmet & Wein Festival in February and March.

Held in Germany over 18 days, the festival brings together leading Michelin-starred chefs and the finest winemakers from all corners of the world for an unforgettable experience that celebrates excellence within the food and wine industry. 

Led by proprietor Johanna Ullrich, the event will be hosted by Hotel Kronenschlösschen in Eltville-Hattenheim this year.

This makes the third year in a row that Fabio will be taking part in this coveted festival and highlights his dedication to his craft. 

“Returning for a third year is an honour, and it’s incredibly rewarding to see guests embrace the South African dining experience. What means the most to me, though, is the opportunity for my team to engage with chefs at this level, reinforcing that the standards we uphold at home are truly world-class,” shares Fabio.

Participating alongside 47 chefs, who collectively have gained 45 Michelin stars, Fabio and his team will showcase a range of signature dishes from Rust en Vrede, paired with a bespoke collection of top South African wines, to create the ultimate South African dining experience for guests to savour.
