The Eat Out Steak Out is the meat-lover’s event of the year, and this time around it’s coming to Cape Town. (Jozi carnivores, you won’t be missing out.)

On Saturday 28 September, Eat Out and Tramontina will host top local steakhouses at The Palms in Woodstock. Each will impress guests with their signature cut of steak. Last year’s Steak Out included tempting tasters such as dry-aged sous-vide sirloin; picanha rump; Wagyu beef with a chimichurri sauce; sirloin with a truffled mushroom brandy sauce; and aged rib-eye with marrow bone.

Restaurants involved include Bones Kitchen & Bar, Pete Goffe-Wood’s Viande Restaurant, Cowboys & Cooks, HQ, House of H, The Avenue, The Eatery Wood Fired Grill and Rare Grill (Kenilworth).

R350 gets you entry, a taster from each of the eight steakhouses at the event, a Tramontina steak knife and two free drinks. Doors open at 12pm and a cash bar will be available. Children under the age of 12 get in free and tickets will be sold at the door.
