Ons Huisie is a world-renowned and well-known traditional restaurant. The Seascape Collection is famous for its spectacular views, West Coast cuisine, dog-friendly facilities, and picturesque views of the Atlantic Ocean and Robben Island. Serving South Africa’s old favorite traditional dish Beef Bobotie(R124) served with vegetable of the day, chutney and rice. You can also have the ever so delicious Lamb bredie(R152) also known as tamatiebredie served Monday to Sunday from 9am to 9pm.

Chef and owner Marco founded Marco’s African Place in 1997, making him Cape Town’s first black restaurateur. In the years since opening, it has gained popularity among locals and international travelers who appreciate exquisite African cuisine and music. Offering Marco’s lamb- slow roasted succulent karoo lamb (R210) served with side option of pap, umngqusho- a xhosa family staple (beans and samp), rice and chips. If you want something a little more traditional you can go for Ulusu/Tripe(R165) prepared in a traditional way with onion and brown sauce. Open every Monday to Saturday 12noon to 11pm and Sunday 12noon to 9pm.

Situated outside Stellenbosch, Tokara offers its guests chef Carolize Coetzee’s menu inspired by the South African countryside and farm produce. Serving pan seared springbok loin with springbok shank ‘pot pie’(R295) and many more other delicious dishes, they are offering these incredible meals every Wednesday to Saturday 12noon to 3pm and 6pm to 9pm.

The owner Zanne is a proud Afrikaner who offers a menu that allows you to experience her culture. You can enjoy one of their traditional breakfasts – worsbredie topped with eggs of your choice and served with a mini roosterkoek or vetkoek or a lekker biltong paté, snoek paté , homemade quince preserve served with flame grilled roosterkoek.
